  1. good write up there gardenkit, it brings two questions to mind.

first pulling the spark plug on a petrol engine is a good way to see how its running, if aspen is cleaner running how does it effect the plug?

second if only a few places thin out the gases and juices which go on to make aspen what do all the other places do with it?

  2. good afternoon all,

while reading posts on here the topic of arb waste 'non wood chip' crops up, I have noticed there are many different views on its value.

Everything from a transit full of small dia conifer stems to a lorry load of big ring, trunks etc. some good for firewood processing and some not.

What happens to this seems to range wildly from put a match to it, because

some don't have the time, interest, or the kit to process into firewood, cant or don't want to give it away to the goblins for what ever reason.

To what you going to give us for it, it will all make firewood, cant just give it away.

Granted the long straight lengths and nice hardwood types do have ready market, but the rest seems to be a mine field as to its value?

Would be interesting to hear views from producers of arb waste on here and from the firewood processors.

I do hope this isn't a can of worms just opened, so to speak.:confused1:

    cheers needenginerunnin jim
