I was looking pretty much after the band saw, but could not find any other model that did not come from China for the same price. And I'm very happy with the band saw, guessing that the vibrations coming from something that should not be too difficult to fix

The shaper/moulder I think works really well, easy to use, very stable. The band saw I have some vibration in which I don't like. Have not had time to look through where they come from, with a bit of luck it's just rubbish somewhere that provides vibrations. Besides that, I think you get a lot of machine for the money. Thinking of buying a saw also

I have built a rain and snow protection to the automatic feed of my sawmill. And as usual, even accidentally got it on film [ame] [/ame]
  6. Today I saw Sorbus intermedia (Swedish Whitebeam). And I only have a few short logs. You can shorten the sawmill if you want, but I choose another method when I saw a few short logs. [ame] [/ame]
  7. 5kw engine I have is the smallest, guessing that the most commonly sold are on 8kW. I never thought that cutting speed is of great significance since it everything else that takes time. Today, it takes about 20 seconds to cut a 4m log and if it would take 15 or 30 does not matter. After that there is the stacking of timber and log handling that takes time for me
  8. I am considering moving my sawmill indoors during the winter. And then I want to see that the dust extraction working as it should. Otherwise it will be difficult to hold on and saw indoors. Some other thoughts about moving the saw indoors? I've made a film to show how it works [ame] [/ame]
  9. It is probably true that it is the same price as a band sawmill. But there are some things to think about. If we're talking money the price level is the same as the cheaper chinesiska band sawmills, and my sawmill I think is in top quality of the chain sawmill. I think the speed is the same on electric saw as a band sawmill. It gets a little bigger cuts with chain 6mm to 2mm with a band saw, not a huge difference. It is very much easier to sharpen the chain against the bandsaw blade. But I totally agree the question is justified and I believe many would choose bandsaw
  10. Absolutely true, sat and wondered if I'd take the old saw carriage in the movie but chose not to do so. But believe it was the wrong decision and you are absolutely right. Do not understand my wife ... Milling movies are the best
  11. I have a new saw carriage for my chainsaw, its standard on M7 and M8 but option to my Farmers. The idea is to use that when I take the sawmill where there is no power. So I hope it works better then original and not so tiring for my hands. I hope you like it, and please give me feedback on the video. My wife got tired of watching the saw movies so I do not get any feedback before I upload. And it is the best way to get better [ame] [/ame]

    Racy day

The big Racy Day... Competition between Logosol Speed saw E5 and Stihl MS391 on my portable sawmill Logosol Farmers M8. Which saw the fastest? [ame] [/ame]
  18. I use Logosol farmers with electric saw and automatic feeding. And compare it with inexpensive band sawmill, it's probably the same cutting speed. If you go up the big band sawmill so it is of course faster. Since it is not the actual sawing that takes time, it takes 20 seconds or 35 seconds to saw a board does not matter, but how long will it take to add boards for drying, put the log in the sawmill, etc. think that's where you can save time. A movie when I saw the little. [ame] [/ame][ame] [/ame]
  19. the log was that way in the pile, and I was lazy and did not turn the
  20. it's Logosol Farmers white Speed Saw E5 and E37 autofider.
  21. Hey dude who likes to film everything he does, is back in action. This time, I saw old oak logs that have been lain on the farm for at least 15 years. enjoy [ame] [/ame]
  22. I sawed in log holder, but it was made of aluminum so it went pretty good .. Got fine stripes on top
  23. You do not have any picture or link, because I'm not sure on which you mean
  24. If someone is using Logosol sawmills, I have done a film where I test all the different log dog / log holder available from Logosol. I was really pleased with Log Holder XL. Saw some with electric saw even in this movie if anyone is curious. Hope you do not think I spam too much with my saw movies. But I love doing these movies and find it fun to share. [ame] [/ame]
  25. yes it is paradise for me, living on a farm in the middle of the forest and work in the city. Best of both
