  1. Eight years later, here's the shop finally: ThomTheWoodTurner - Etsy UK WWW.ETSY.COM Shop Pole Lathe turned products by ThomTheWoodTurner located in Cockermouth, England. And a rough video showing the process :
  2. Cheers mate, you well? Got my climbing tickets sorted in December... send me an inbox?
  3. Tar mate, Holly, good eye. Found the Elder super easy to turn and generally nice to work with. It warps like crazy once its dried out though. Can't see it in the photos but the biggest bowl has quite a few holes and cracks in it. Smaller ones turned out okay.
  4. Not sure on species for this one. Rescued from the chipper
  5. Spalted beech from a dead tree. Blunted my tools every 5 minutes. Get a clean finish though. Nested it too.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
