  1. Somebody called ecologjiggle? Somewhere in Somerset? I sent him an email or two last year. I think it also takes a slabber so it might be what you need?
  2. I would second the advice on helping out someone else first, then work out what you need to cut, for who, and how portable you need it to be, and what other kit you need (to tow the mill and/or handle the log). That should then answer your questions. Might be worth looking at the 'lower' end mills like the Woodland, Timbery or even a Turbosaw? CS mills have their place but a band or circular mill is a league above.
