  1. Mark (or anyone else who uses SRT), how efficient do you think it would be if throwline use wasn't an option on a day to day basis, such as on utility work? I've been considering giving it a try for a while, but this is putting me off, as getting the right anchor point from the ground with rods is quite rare...
  2. Hi, I've created a new account using my girlfriends name, as I'm trying to be a bit discreet about this. I'm looking for full time work, on the books, within a 40 minute or so drive from Gloucester, possibly more for the right company. Willing to consider Bristol, Oxford, Cirencester, Worcester etc. I'm an experienced climber, and for the past year have been working for a respected utilities company for WPD. This has recently been taken over, and I am now looking for another option. Before starting in utility work, I was self employed for 4 ½ years running my own business carrying out tree work. Currently hold NPTC CS30,31,38 & 39 and UA 1; also have woodchipper, brushcutter, first aid & manual handling. WPD Authorised with photo ID and green book. Full clean B+E driving licence. I am planning to take my rigging course ASAP. In terms of academic qualifications, I have a BTEC ND in Countryside Management, and a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Conservation (2:1). I have experience of carrying out ecological work such as bat surveys. I have been happily climbing pretty well every day for the past 2 years, and am comfortable taking on most trees. I will work as hard as I can in all weathers, and will fell, drag brash, tidy up and chip as well as climb! I take pride in doing each and every job well. Can provide references on request. Thank you for reading, I can be contacted on 07730 372451 or send me a PM on here.
