I only cut wood for myself as many of us around here do. It's getting more difficult to get hold of so I put a post on here yesterday asking if there was any available north of Manchester. I bought some cut logs in last year to top up and have just done the same this year but I actually like splitting them myself; it's not just cheaper but keeps me fit. I'll burn about 8 cubic metres in a winter but last winter went on for a very long time and I used half as much again. If anyone knows where I can get uncut wood, please let me know. I'll take anything, any shape or size except brash of course. It all burns. -
I'm based near Bury, Lancashire and I'm looking for logs I can cut myself. I've plenty of room and can take a few lorry loads. Can anyone recommend where I can get the wood from?
