  1. Good stuff, cheers. I like to reach as far a possible to under the prusik to give me a long length of pull, hence the long prusik loop... its basically working out the best format of attaching the pulley to the rope that I'm interested in. Its got to be easy to flip on and off and not be in the way Sent from my SM-T210 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. The ropeman looks perfect, cheers
  3. The thing I don't like about the Hitchclimber is... You have to pull yourself up, and then pull the rope through the VT (or whatever knot you are using)... So I came up with this. See pics You can reach up and pull down, to ascend, without then having to pull the rope through the VT. The Pusik moves up with the pulley. Need a better option than a jubilee clip, but its the principle of the idea... perhaps velcro. Is there a product on the market that neatly grips a pulley to the rope like this? Cheers
  4. Its me climbing, my good groundie mate, fuel and gear. 1 day. That's fair Sent from my SM-T210 using Arbtalk mobile app

  7. Rich, I mostly climb for other firms rather than quote full jobs... and yes I know how long it will take with however many crew and what gear I need. What has been interesting is what people's profit expectations have been. Read the thread. It varies considerably. The pasceievd valve. I'm going to not say what I quoted, as I think it will instigate unnecessary debate! Sent from my SM-T210 using Arbtalk mobile app

  9. I got the job. Doing it next month. Regarding avoiding the fence... anyone capable of passing CS39, or whatever the equivalent is, should be able to dismantle branches and avoid dropping them on things. Branch tips wont cause damage, then take hand held sections off, then free fall the rest. Keep my groundie mate running! Sent from my SM-T210 using Arbtalk mobile app
