  5. Morning I know this is a long shot, however .... I am after some cheap firewood in Pembrokeshire looking at other posts there many where tree surgeons are selling off 'arb waste' Obviously I will process this up into logs for my own use So the question is there anyone in pembs selling arb waste? (Not to sound ungrateful but I don't want 100 million tons of conifer as I already have a large supply of this!!!) Cheers Lloyd

  12. Stove is 78% efficacy Wood don't know cos I haven't bought it yet trying to work out what I'll need and then order some
  13. I'm after some advice I know the figures can only be a rough guide but... I'm wondering how much wood it would take to run an 8kw stove through winter Open to hardwood / softwood options Burning for about 8-10 hrs a day Cheers
  14. As a customer I would suspect that the fall in oil to 47p a litre has the biggest effect. I want a warm house in the most economical way. Might sound silly but it's hard enough to earn the money in the first place. When oil falls in price I guess it increases competition and reduces demand
  15. Morning I know the answer to this question can only ever be a rough estimate however .... How many bulk bags of seasoned (20% mc soft wood) can you carry on a 6x4 caged trailer that is plated to 750kg Cheers Lloyd

  17. Well as I had a pressurised system in the house when I bought it I would rather a solution that 'tied' into this especially as the combi boiler is fairly new. The make model and even cost of the stove is something I'd consider nearer the time was just interested in stoves that could be linked into pressurised systems and the positives / negatives Cheers
  18. Has anyone seen this kind of set up in use in a closed / pressurised heating system?? Grande 14kW Solid Fuel Boiler Stove Something like this could be great for me (long term when funds allow) Cheers Lloyd

  20. Cheers for your help So I know this can only ever be a rough answer / guesstimate but how much does a cube of softwood weigh when seasoned??
  21. Ok thanks for your help Just out if interest if in trying to find someone to move it for me 1. What sort of weight would I be looking at 4 cube?? 2. Does anyone know of anyone who wants to move 4 cube in Pembrokeshire and how much would they charge?? 3. Are there any suppliers of soft wood in Pembrokeshire Cheers Lloyd
  22. I am interested in moving small quantities of fire wood for my own use as my house is heated by a mixture of oil and wood / coal The cheapest ( I know it might not be best value but funds are very tight) would appear to be to buy logs or saw mill off cuts (as link) and move them back to my house about 25 miles, st clears to haverfordwest west wales (doing it after work only add 17 miles to my commute Option1 Find some one to move 4 cube at a time, if anyone has any idea if how much this would cost or anyone who could do this (probably twice a year but not guaranteed) Option 2 Use a trailer and car to tow 1 cube at a time - issue is that I only have a small 6x4 trailer and can only carry 750kg how much dry seasoned softwood am I Likely to be able to move with this set up I know there are a lot of variables but any help anyone could offer would be great Thanks Lloyd Ebay items 131265940854 Or 131279022058
