  1. Do you happen to know what size your power pack is ,ie pressure and flow rate?
  2. I have a couple of stihl electric and have to say I dont think there any use for any of the more heavy cutting:001_smile:
  3. I have considered a sound barrier but my with location and the problem neighbor I don't think this would work well I was considering a electric power pack to keep the noise down.

Has anybody had experience in working with hydraulic chainsaws for carving ,I am looking for a quieter alternative from my petrol stihl saws as I have an neighbor who is complaining to my local council which is causing all sorts of problems! I have been looking at the stanley cs06 hydraulic saw which is the same saw that the pinskey power guy in america uses . Also if anybody is selling a hydraulic saw or/and power pack I would be interested to here from you. Thanks Alan

  7. Hello people I am on the hunt for a supply of good saw logs for chainsaw carving like cedar ,Douglas fir , larch etc . I am preferably looking for a supply in Scotland can anybody steer me in the rite direction . Thanks Alan
  8. I was noticing that last time I was going down the A9 rite enough ,I would be delighted if I could get a lorry load of good logs it would keep me going for a while. I have been going away with my pickup collecting as much I dare put in the back its usually a long run home .

Hello I have recently started into the world off chainsaw carving back in may and loving every bit off it .I am now starting to get some commissions for my work and I have been using Douglas Fir which have been sourcing from a saw mill so as you can imagine its fairly expensive. I am based on the Orkney Islands so getting any timber / logs locally is very rare.So I am looking to make some new contacts in Scotland/North England for getting logs I would really like to get my hands on a load of cedar as I have been told its a very suitable wood for outdoor carvings. Any Help will be much appreciated Thanks guys . Alan.
