1. Wow, certainly not my experience of Wood-Mizer. Far heavier construction then any of the others you mention. Plus can always get spares/assistance from UK office. Don't have a problem with their blades, always perform well for me. Maybe its how you treat them.
 2.

Have you looked at the Timbery?

not got UK website up and running yet, but take a look at Timbery portable sawmills & blades.

we are UK agents for these mills.

 3. big J, You really should point out to others that you purchased a second hand LT40. Had you purchased a new machine maybe you would have had more luck. I know many Wood-Mizer owners who swear by them! Dealings I have had with Wood-Mizer UK have been very positive. as for bringing a mill in from the states, import duty, shipping, CE certification? All these things cost money, Which you dont pay on top of price if purchased in UK. When I upgrade to a bigger mill I will certainly be buying another Wood-Mizer!
 4. When i bought my LT15 it came with a log wedge as standard equipment. I'm pretty sure that they have always come with one. As for comments on Wood-Mizer uk, I've found them to be extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. try giving them a ring.
