We have one. 990xp with winch. An absolute beast. We can digger feed it the big stuff, hand feed it small stuff, I love the thing. Expensive to service but the older ones seem to be built to slightly heavier duty spec and are nigh on bullet proof.

Such a difference in weight though surely the 230's have had to sacrifice something to get it down to 750kg....
Some of the manufacturers say you can't make a long lasting chipper under 750kg

The fine for disturbing a nest is considerable...
Did you check if the tree was under a preservation order or if you were in a conservation area?

Chainsaw to 'there abouts size' then goes through a planer thicknesser, sanded down the grades. Beeswax and oiled.

Do you not find them a bit slow?

Ok looking to get my first splitter as more wood is coming in than I expected (not complaining) but what would you recommend? Kinetic looks much better than hydraulic... rock machinery make quite a good one by the looks of it. Suggestions??

Had one on demo and very nearly got one, being 6,4 the hopper was just a little too low for me. Good machine though...

It was already done when I brought it...it's a pretty standard box not all singing and dancing,no tool box or woodchip deflecter.
How do you find the arborist 130?

I hadn't heard of them. My l200 has an ally tipper body but only half a body. I make up the rest with painted ply
