<p>After leaving the RN I went into railway tree work for 11months then 6months of domestic. I quit that to do retained firefighter training. I walked into another tree job once that had finished and that's where I've been for the last 9months. I've been trying to source my own work but without the capital to buy a truck I've not been trying too hard </p>

<p>Courses wise I did the combined course at Kingswood I think it's about £4000</p>

<p>Climbing kit will set you back about £600. Plus about £300 for spikes and flip line</p>

<p>Saws - climbing and ground saw around £1200 depending on what model</p>

<p>PPE was around £400</p>
