  1. My stuff is dry but I dont know what it equates to by wight Just go off the volume by cube
  2. 15 pound a tone so what happens if one person brings it in sogging wet and the other person brings it in bone dry
  3. gensetsteve Could not find any info on processing kindling from your links have you ever made kindling from old pallets by any chance?
  4. Won an auction online for a 14" bar Partner farmer I make no joke about it 26 quid! Went to pick it up today and when arrived the boys where trying to refit the starter coil back onto it as it had come out After spending 1 hour getting the coil back it would not start as spark plug was flooded probably been tipped on its side Then it stared and the boys cut me some branches to show it worked They wore no PPE when I asked them do you bother with PPE they kind of laughed and said no then it ran out of fuel fuel has been leaking prior to that out of the filler sump they think from being turned up side down They said they used a 50:1 petrol to 2 stroke oil Any way 26 quid and I saw it working I handed over the money shock hands and left So what do you think of this chainsaw and what do you think could go wrong with it next And what do you think about not wearing PPE with this type of chainsaw Thanks JT
  5. Been told that firewood is the off cuts of timber as felling a tree for firewood is not economically viable So size wise! 1.What size dose a trunk become to small to be sold as timber? 2. Dose timber pay more per volume then firewood?

  11. Got some 5 foot lengths by about 6" diameter of pine wood Am I better selling them as they are now for posts or am I better cutting them up and selling as firewood?

Hi someone has a couple of acres of woodland that they want cleaning up By cleaning up I mean fallen trees and branches The problem is its a long long way away for me to go and have a look to see if the jobs worth doing Is there a way of working out what dead wood there will be with out even seeing it Just weighting for him to come back to me about what type of trees they are Many Thanks JT
  13. With all due respects I think your wasting your money Wood chippings is about only good for tinder Very small pieces lots of air flow and burns way to fast for a fuel
