Well maybe I will wait for it then I have an old 660 so if the 661 is going to be released in the summer might be worth the wait before I make a decision if the 660 dies on me I do have an 880 and an 064 wich can always back me up a bit disappointed tho I was all excited about getting a new saw Thanks for the feed back guys !!!!!!!!

    Stihl 661

    Hi all I went in to my local stihl dealer today as I was thinking about getting the new 661 only to be told that all the 661's that stihl have sold have recalled them and replaced them with the 660 I just wandered if any off you guys new what the problem is with them I was surprised as it sounded like a great saw
  3. I normally wear type c's but today I didn't and cut right down to the knee bone ( silly boy) I won't do that again !!!!!
  4. No major damage done just very soar and swollen still at least I got to see my knee bone for the first time and hopefully the last haha
  5. Well I found out the hard way today only trimming a stump off at the ground did not have my chainsaw trousers on and found a brick in the middle of the stump and bang off to a+e to be stitched back together out off action no for a bit
  6. Hi all it's defo a 61 it still has the plate on it and that's what it says I have taken it apart and she has cleaned up nice the piston and barrel look fine carbs good and I had a new air filter so all I need is a new spark plug and pull cord and all being well she's a runner
  7. I thought you might say that was the 61 a good saw or not I know it looks bad but i think it's covered in 10 yrs of dirt and saw dust I don't think it would take much to get her going again !!

  11. For all you guys asking about the ms 150 I have a mate who works for ermin plant hire and they can get them now and they are good on there prices to might be worth a look if you are desperate for one soon

Hi mate yes it should it should be fine on a 20" I have got a 20" for it I just haven't used it yet if you are getting a new one stihl say that the saw will take between 8 and 15 tanks of fuel before it's running on it's optimum power but I think it pulls like a train straight out of the box so can't wait to c what optimum power is like and also the saw is really well balanced with the 18" bar ru local to Gloucester if you r you are welcome to have a go with mine before you buy one
  13. I bought a 461 this week I got it on an 18" bar and it is an awesome saw I'm sure you will love it I do !!
