  1. I have one of these 43cc Petrol Strimmer and Brush Cutter UNBEATABLE VALUE! | eBay and one of these 52cc Petrol 5in1 Hedge Trimmer, Chainsaw, Strimmer, Brush Cutter, Extension Pole | eBay no stickers its printed into the metal
  2. why's mine got made in japan on it then:laugh1: here you go david_chainsaw, I've just bought 2 of these from "the range" at £5.99 each, much better than the one supplied as it has the quick release on it, plus a padded shoulder bit.
  3. they are made in Japan, but then, so is almost everything nowadays, I picked up this, mainly for the strimmer and slightly bigger engine, It surprised me on the quality of it, it actually is well put together, 52cc Petrol 5in1 Hedge Trimmer, Chainsaw, Strimmer, Brush Cutter, Extension Pole | eBay Imported un branded stuff is like marmite, you either love it, or hate it. no different over on shooting forums, you'll have those wanting to lay out big money on "silver pigeon/beretta shotguns" and those who want cheap as chips escort shotguns, they are both tools that do a job, some look on it as shotgun snobbery, others think a more expensive gun will make them shoot better, I by the way own an escort, it does the job no different. I can understand a business charging money could not really turn up at a job and start unloading import tools, it would probably not instill confidence with the customer, but for those of us who are working our own land, I don't see any problems with them, I also don't understand why those that dont like them/own them or want to use them, jump straight on the bandwagon and try to pick fault with them, what does it matter to them, or is it reverting back to my shotgun theory, I suppose its a bit like playground bullying, those that wear the latest NIKE trainers think they are more "special" than the kid in primark trainers, as for spares and repairs, they are readily available, if you buy from the right supplier, or being cheap as chips, simply buy another, they may be more hands on, but is that a bad thing?? one of our strimmers stopped working last week, 1/2 an hour stripping and cleaning the carb and its up and running again, would someone owning a £200 plus machine even try that, or would they think, sod it, take it back/send it back for repairs, costing them more time and money with a motor out of action for how many days? rant over:001_tt2:
  4. heres a good one HYDRAULIC LOG SPLITTER ELECTRIC WOOD TIMBER CHOPPER AXE FREE STAND & BLADE FM10 | eBay
  5. that one had shite in the carb and had to be dismantled when we returned home, we have the rest of our lives to work/play in our woods, who's worried about 20 seconds.
  6. thats prob me overdoing the oil mix, but using both for around 4 hours no headaches, which is more than can be said when using a smoker on rats (Im a full time pestie) as for parts, if it lasts a couple of years I'll be happy, for £80 I aint got to worry to much, some stuff we leave hidden in the woods, if it happened to go walkies, Id prefer it be £80 than £200 plus
  7. seems this lot are gonna love me, as I've got 2 x imported strimmers, mine came via evil bay from mj tools, but look the same as the link, the straps aint great, but they work, they dont have quick release, but hooked over shoulder they are easy to put down if need be, both have been fitted with 40 tooth brush cutters, and are making light work of the brambles in our woods, even cutting through smaller hazel coppice, as long as you follow the starting instructions these things are dead easy to start, 100% happy with both no matter what anyone says video's of them
  8. we have lots of brambles that need clearing in our woods, we bought two imported strimmers plus 40 tooth blades, they did an excellent job, even cutting through smaller hazel coppice time lapse video from a helpers go pro
  9. Im glad Im not the only one by the sounds of it, yes to the brake question, but I also wear full PPE with no training, well, does watching youtube clips count having just bought 7 acres of woodland in kent, thought I'd need a chainsaw or two, I love my husky, but its so easy to use, my first bad habit is drop starting it (blame youtube)
  10. well I've been banned from their site, hope I last a bit longer here (banned, for putting up a post, asking why another member had been banned) some admin/mods let the power go to their heads, bit like that german adolf fella
