  1. Hi commando. We have just got permission to shoot at Salisbury Plain area 15 and 16 field firing range MOD i think it is 4 miles you would use a 50 cal at that range we shoot reactive targets knock down. Another range is senybridge that's 1800 yards field firing. You would want a 50cal for 2 miles plus we shoot at disused armoured vehicles and boards. 4 miles is bloody far. So much plays a part weather temp, wind , the ground holds pockets if air valleys. You would not want to be touched any where with a 50 cal even at 4 miles. You'll be finished. The bullet is still capable at doing its job as long as it connects
  2. Now now let's not get personal about about our personal weapons. 🐓same started out with air rifles they can be more fun sometimes. Then up shotguns rim fires then up 243 win 308win. Ballistics are very interesting when pushing out at range.
  3. Usually there is an extra charge for left hand rifles I payed extra £150 for last rifle in left hand. Blaser would be more I think. Do you shoot mark ? Killed it did not mean to
  4. Evening john I hope your well !!!! I am a member of A rifle club. We get to shoot on the MOD RANGES. All over the country. We can shoot out to 3 miles on one range with 50 cal.
  5. Got left hand because I am left handed. It was same price as right hand I did get a deal on it got a friend who owns a gun shop
  6. Ha ha ha yes mark It was very very risky but johns a very steady and trustworthy man he was happy to help out. I think it's got a bit better range and stoping power the the BSA !
  7. Very happy with it I was lucky they did a batch of left handed rifles. It will see me out to a 1000 yrds that's good enough for me.
  8. Funny a lot of people say they will come to me if s.,! Hits the fan I be gone fully loaded high point and bed down.
  9. this is what she is capable of.
  10. Love your outfit steve !!!!! Can I have the pink bow and arrow please I will use that as a back up weapon 😃😃😃😃😃
  11. You have asked I will say the outfit total what you see is £7,350 don't tell the mrs!!!!!!!!
  12. Prob the best reason to own. Quoted by accuracy international. as the best sniper rifle in the world. With 338 lap mag prob every time at 1200. With a 308 the wind plays a big big part on a good day hopefully 6-10 on a windy day the bullet can move off target 4-5 ft it's been known to hit the next target!!!!! So on them days might not hit the 4ft bored at all !!!
  13. Yes you can get them, this is in 308win cal as long as it's on your ticket to purchase you have a good enough reason for it. It is only a 308 bolt action😉😉😉😉😉if any one asks. It's mainly going to be used for targets at long range. It has a dogs of a barrel should be good to 1200 yrds. Then the 308 is pushing it any further than that. Then the 338 lap mag takes over. Yes there is a double chamber muzzle break. You then screw the moderator onto the break. Price you don't want to know mate
  14. This is my new toy. Accuracy international AT 308 win 26 inch barrel it's a left hooker
  15. grazon 90 !! strim it down wait for the re growth 2-3 inch and spray may take 2-3 treatments don't dig till it's died off.
  16. I am looking for an artic load of hardwood processor size, preferably 2.5 mtr long. To be delivered to the stourbridge area the post code is dy8 2rx. If you could contact me with prices and availability.
  17. Hi guys this is a good topic. I will give my opinion on what I have personally used, and can vouch for. I have just bought my 2nd set of steps, they are the 16 ft henchman tripod ladders the pro ones, all three legs adjust( I would recommend you by all three leg adjustments) you will kick yourself if not. They are brilliant. A lot of money but they are well worth it. Makes work a lot easer. This is my 2nd lot of steps the last ones are about 4 years old. They have improved them so much. Extra support, a better platform at the top. I transport mine on a 10ft by 5 ifor Williams. They do over hang the sides a bit. Just be careful not to bend the metal because they are not the strongest. I normally rest the bottom of the ladder on a load of builders bags. they make jobs a pleasure to do. You will not go wrong with these.
  18. Yes I have seen that .to be honest I use a heavier bullet if I am stalking ,or if out shooting foxes I used to use 75grain ballistic tip when hit its a deff kill makes no odd s on vermin, but found this new ammo it is bit heavier more drop but still good on old Charlie .
  19. IT WILL KILL IT !!!!!!!!!! Ha ha ha good one mate
  20. i think it plays a part at about 200 yards the bullet is traveling around 2630 feet per sec and a 95grain bullet hits home at around 2000 foot lb of energy so as long as you have got a good bullet placement your ammunition should do the rest my opinion.
  21. I have never got into reloading my own ammo. Federal was my main ammunition but when I got my new 243 rifle went to the range and tested , federal, sako , Winchester , Norma , Remington , at 200 yrds best I got was 14mill group with the Winchester so given them a go.
  22. That's the main reason why I like my 17hmr and 243win fairly flat trajectory pretty much aim on at 300yrds just give few inches. I have been trying different ammunition through the 243 and the best I have found through my tika is the Winchester 95grain silver tip getting really good groupings.
  23. You said it I could easy do a right to left on thieves :-)
