  1. Evening all, I'm in the middle of making myself a pulleysaver and am finding it really hard to find a large eye spliced rope so I was wondering a) if there was anyone who can do rope splicing and b) is there any courses that may be going on that will teach me how to splice as I'm very interested in it all. Any help is appreciated.
  2. I've been working for my company for 2 years now, started the apprenticeship and loved it, the main thing I found was that I didn't need specific help from anyone I was just left to help out and follow the lads I worked with, anything else I needed to learn I did at college and used it in practice at work, I have finished it now and I believe it's made me into a good worker, it's not the apprenticeships that are the problem its the lazy people who can't be bothered to do them. I am 20 now btw Sent from my HTC One using Arbtalk mobile app

Hi all, I've Been climbing on a prussick and blakes for 2 years now and wanted to progress onto the hitchclimber, I had a go with what I was told was a swabish and the knot just wasn't right for me, I'm a big lad and found it was slipping and I was constantly having to set it all the time, anyone know of a better knot and one ideal for a bigger lad, cheers in advance.
