  1. Well firstly, hate and intolerance are not compatible with a Christian approach to life. Anyone who lives their life in this way but claim to have found the Lord at the same time, are most likely claiming to be something that they are not. That's a reflection of them, not a Christian way of life. By contrast, read many of the posts here aimed at those who do believe. Mocking, insulting, spiteful, a desire to cram as much unashamed derision into a sentence as is possible. So tell me, where is the intolerance?

Check that the little peg is still in the ring groove, sounds like the ring might be creeping. Very very unusual for a ring to disintegrate in any two-stroke engine unless it moves and catches a port.
  3. Unlike your broad-minded self?
  4. Crab apple in full leaf! Others close by, other varieties of trees/shrubs beside it all loosing their leaves as per normal, this one seems to think it's May. Anyone care to have a go at an explanation?
  5. Faith and belief I have. The answer to everything I don't have. And I tend to be wary of anyone who thinks they do!
  6. My "kids" are 21 and 23, what "pleases" me is them having the courage to follow whatever paths in life they truely think they should, free from influence from anyone, including me. Neither of them were christened as babies, I'm not a church goer so didn't think it appropriate. But my son got baptisted at age 19 of his own choice, it made him happy, and that made me happy. I make no apologies for that.
  7. It's a very fair point. However it's important not to confuse "Christians" with charlatans. There are many, many, more charlatans than Christians.
  8. Your posts give a pretty good indication of how any of them would be greeted if they proudly announced to you that they'd decided to follow the path of the Lord. Free, really???
  9. Don't be a spoil-sport man, they're enjoying themselves!
  10. If your faith was so strong I fail to see why you needed to research anything. Like I said, people who need proof are lacking in faith, those with the faith need no proof. But anyhow, I've no problem with that, whatever works for you or anyone else is fine by me. I believe that the answers to most peoples problems lie within themselves if they want to find them. If you've found your answers elsewhere then good on you.
  11. Funny how even those with no belief or faith whatsoever still seem to know all about it! A bit like claiming that you don't like the taste of something that you've never tasted. Now imagine if someone were silly enough to say that!
  12. Well that escalated quickly!!!!!! One mention of the concept of "faith" and we're in to the usual territory of "worship", "gods", and (I assume) religious intolerance, without me mentioning or even hinting at any of them. I was merely pointing out that the very concept of "faith" does not require proof, and if you require proof then you are lacking in faith.
  13. Of-course not, nor will there ever be (although I'd probably substitute your "credible" with "physical"). That's why some of us have what is called "faith".
  14. I've just had to rethink my definition of a "bad day"!
  15. ...........or as a British diplomat once said (allegedly!), "we've never fought a war yet where we didn't supply the guns to the other side".
  16. Because he's having a go at analysing how an essentially hateful b0llocks like Donald Trump being elected as the next P.O.T.U.S may affect the rest of the world in various ways. And doing as good and interesting a job of it as some who get paid a shed load of money for it. Who needs "experts"!
  17. Personally I wouldn't see you as a liberal, more center ground. And yes, that is indeed what in the past would have been classed as liberal, but not any more.
  18. I'll just repeat a previous post and now leave it to those in charge to do as they feel appropriate.
  19. I already have! I'm well familiar with his postings and while he's plainly fairly robust in his views I've never seen him post anything to suggest he's racist. Time it was flagged up that to acuse someone of it with no grounds is just every bit as bad as being one. I hope the moderators act appropriately.
  20. That's not fair mate, the guy has perfectly legitimate concerns about the future of the country he lives in. I suggest you either back it up or retract it. Actually for the first time ever on here I feel sufficiently moved to report your post as it's pretty shameful. I don't necessarily agree with the guy but I've never seen anything on here to suggest him to be racist and frankly I just think you're jumping on the bandwagon. What gives you the right to hurl that at anyone, do you think it's acceptable?
  21. Think the above picture shows the set up pretty well.
  22. Just been having a think and the only other thing I can mention at all is the level of ash in the bottom of the stove. That having been said I can't see it causing a problem of the scale you're talking about but ours definitely needs a wee bit more air if the ash gets neglected for an extra week or so. On ours it doesn't cause an issue, therefore no one else bothers their @rse until I do it!, but if it was combined with a poor chimney draw and/or poor primary air flow maybe it would cause more of a problem and benefit from a weekly ash reduction or such like to keep the fire lower in the firebox. Grasping at straws a bit I know but I really can't come up with anything else.
  23. Was there not a big hullaballoo a year or two ago when some government funded climate change research group was found to have been fiddling the data to back up their papers? Doesn't say much for the argument when that happens! Nor is the consensus "overwhelming", there are as many well qualified people making well supported arguments against climate change being driven by human activity as there are for it. Depends what you want to see!
  24. At the end of the day it's just like an engine, needs a good supply of air in and a good exhaust out. I'd start there, but it sounds like there's something seriously amiss.
