  1. Just had a little look online and you can mount off the floor as this pic with the Thule 821. Save it getting damaged so easily when using the back to move wood or whatever else.
  2. What about something like this mounted in the back. Just remove front wheel and tighten forks onto this. Looks like a low impact and easy choice. Halfords do one that comes in under £20.

Well I'll eat my hat!?! Well done to the Doctor. Seems they have worked out some of the issues with the front end of the bike, he looked a happy man stood on the top step of the rostrum. Another solid weekend for Cal too, shame he was a little tardy off the line and took a few laps to get into the rhythm otherwise he could have been right with the 46. Marquez pushed well at the end to not let him by.
  4. Whit's fur ye'll no go by ye!
  5. ..and maybe a Nissan GT-R for longer journeys.
  6. After recommendations on here I got myself a set of Arborwear Original Tree Climbers. They are great fit, hardwearing and the crotch design gives loads of freedom of movement, not the coolest when it is warm is only downside. I reckon that the Arborwear Ascender would be a top choice.
  7. He is very good with those spoons
  8. nope not me, just came across it, enjoyed and thought I would share.
  9. Looks a good boot and 60 quid cheaper than the Waldlaufer. Shame that they're only available up to a eur size 48.
  10. Cheers felix, that's pretty much exactly what I wanted to hear. I'll get a set ordered next week then.
  11. Need to get my first pair of chainsaw boots. Started working recently, just learning the trade and most of my time will be spent dragging brash and chipping stuff although I climbed my first tree to hook up the winch the other day which was awesome. Want a pair of boots that I will be happy to walk all day in. Limited for choice due to having size 15 feet. Looked at a few pairs online and can get the Pfanner Tirol Fighters off the shelf in my size but not so keen on them as they don't look great for walking lots in. Emailed FR Jones and they said they can special order Pfanner Zermatt boots but that's 300quid and a 8 week wait. My other option is Meindl Waldlaufer boots which are my cheapest option, FRJones has them in stock in my size and I think they seem most fit for my purpose, anyone use these? They any good? (Think Meindl will also make the airstream for me as a special order but not sure they will be any better and will cost more and I have to wait again.)
  12. I am looking for a position as a Groundsman/ Brash Dragger/ Labourer around the Edinburgh area. I am 26, physically fit and willing to graft. I have experience using saws whilst assisting to clear storm damaged trees in a small private woodland. I have extensive experience working outdoors in all weathers and find the hard work rewarding. I am comfortable around ropes and knots having working as a mountain guide for the past few years. I have recently completed a Wood Chipper course at Barony college and aim to complete my CS 30/31 tickets in the coming year. I hold a full UK driving license and a current outdoor first aid certificate. I am enthusiastic and although at the moment I realise I am pretty green in the industry, I am keen to develop my knowledge and skills in all areas of arboriculture. I am happy to work a short trial period for free to show that I can be a valuable member of your team. Please PM me or drop me an email. Cheers Malcolm malcolm.royAThotmailDOTcom

Massive congratulations for Cal. A very solid ride today while almost broken! That crash he had in FP looked nasty. He responded to Marquez in the final lap which was also very good to see. If Yamaha had any sense they'd give Cal a full factory bike asap to help take it to the Honda's and support Lorenzo. There's probably not much chance of that happening though and he will end up riding Suzuki next season. ..and really I think its time for Rossi to hang up his leathers. He's been consistently underwhelming for several seasons. Had an optimum chance at Le Mans and did nothing with it. Direct comparison to Marquez who had zero experience with these bikes in the wet, got a poor start and managed to show the mental toughness and drive to get himself right back up through the field. Found it amusing that he ended up passing Lorenzo about three times.
