    File size?

Many thanks, Yes, I did mean 5/32" or 4.5mm (tryping never was one of my good points). 5/32" (4.0mm) it is then. Bosun

    File size?

Another question for the experts out there. According to the ops manual for my Husqvarna 240, I need a 5/32" / 4.5mm file for the H36 type chain. As the clever ones of you out there will have noticed, 5/32" is 4mm. Which should I use, 5/32" or 4mm? I've tried contacting Husqvarna, but no reply yet. Many thanks, Bosun PS. I hope I don't start another forum war!
  3. Yes. But to be honest, I was regretting (4 pages later) having asked the question in the first place. Without starting chainsaw world war III, do I assume that the "drop test" will not harm the saw? Using a tyre for the drop test sounds like a good idea, assuming it's representative. Steady gentlemen!
  4. Good evening, I'm new to this forum, and it seems you guys know what your talking about. The owners manual for my Husqvarna 240 chainsaw tells me to check the inertia brake by letting the tip of the chain fall onto a solid wood block. This seems a bit harsh, what do you guy's think? Is there a less brutal way? How often should I check the inertia brake? I fear damaging the bar and fixing bolts! Many thanks. Bosun
