  3. Hi lads I was cutting some large ash tress yesterday into rings and my husky let go my muffler had become loose and was blowing I couldn't here much difference in noise with muffs on but my mate said it was loud. all I can think is the hot muffler gas must have been coming out the back of the muffler and cooked the pot causing a seize the pull cord was was solid? I took out the plug and managed to ease the piston up and down but compresssion is down and will not start is it fooked now or is it a simple piston and ring ?????

  5. Hi mate I've tried the stihl a on and your right the fit is crap. But nowhere around here stocks husqvarna trousers to try on I'm in South Wales.
  6. Hi I wanted your thoughts on chainsaw trousers. I'm looking to purchase a pair for myself, i only cut wood for my firewood I'm not climbing or working with saws all day but I have access to a lot of wood from the farms I shoot on. I've tried on stihl trousers from the local farm supplies but they were no good, the waist was ok but the legs at the top were tight so they're not for me. I'm a 40-42 waist. What I wanted to know is if other makes are the same sort of fit or are the other makes more roomy. I thought I'd ask the experts before I place a wasted order online. Or bid on some on a well known auction site only to find there tight. Cheers Chris.
  7. Thanks Ill pop out the other one and measure it. Is this common on husqvarna for things to fall off ???
  8. Thanks for the speedy response guys. its the main two Allan bolts that hold the muffler to the top end.
  9. Hi all I'm new on here. :blushing i wanted to ask if anyone would know what size muffler Allan bolt I need for the 357xp it seems to have lost one when cutting firewood the other day it's not the first time something has fallen off. Last month a bar nut fell off I've got a stihl and nothing falls off that??? I've looked on ebay the only ones I can find are over the pond in the USA. If someone knows what size bolt and thread it takes I could get one from the hardware store. I love using the stihl but the husky wins hands down for cutting. Any info would be great thanks chris.
