  1. Mog will be used with timber winch on rear, bush hog/swipe for clearing heather/scrub, log splitter, tipping trailer. General estate duties. Nothing too heavy. Like the idea of a smaller mog to fit tight spaces so 406 or U1200 etc. From everyones advice, it is looking like the 406 with rotten cab is good at £8500. I could either bodge the cab up and keep it working or remove cab, shotblast and repair/paint properly. The 406 I am looking at has a fibreglass roof. I do prefer the hard tops. Will keep looking!!
  2. Tell me more Stephen! What Mog and how much?
  3. Hi, I am new to the forum and seek advice. I have £10k to spend on a Mog and am very keen to find the right truck. I am based in Central Scotland but can have stuff shifted around the UK pretty easily. So far, I have only physically looked at one 406 far sale in my area. Mechanically, it is pretty spot on having had a new clutch, brakes etc. Low hours at 3000. Cab is pretty rotten though looks tidy enough from a distance. I would be prepared to remove the cab and repair it properly(I am a Land Rover mechanic to trade so am well versed at welding up scrap!). The chap is needing £8500 for it which I feel is too high?? My question is this. At £10k, can I buy a decent square cab model? I am looking for agri spec, short wheelbase with agri tyres. Not fussed about tipping rear body as will prob fit a flatbed. Any advice is welcome. Obviously, the higher the hp the better but I also like the smaller mogs as it will be in amongst the trees. Thanks in advance. Dave
