  1. Thanks guys. Awesome ideas. I'm sure I can come up with something, Just to show you what I was playing with before so you can have a laugh.... Obviously I know there is a D missing. This is my sort of skill level, all I have is a husquvarna 353 with a 15'' bar!
  2. 2 good ideas! Thankyou. I probably should've specified size.. It's basically a sign for the side of the road to point people in to the venue. Not 100% sure of size myself to be honest!
  3. Hi My brothers wedding is coming up and his future wife has asked if I can make some sort of sign saying 'wedding' or 'mr and mrs .....' Etc. I am an NOVICE at this. Just about past the mushroom stage and on to stools and chairs, and toying with small detail. Does anyone have any ideas for something easy but effective?? Thanks Nick
  4. Thanks for the replies. Really appreciate it. Seems like the best thing to do it get out there and see what works for me. Hopefully have something to post to get some feedback on in the near future, or just more questions!
  5. Really nice design. I've been trying a few with a different design, and I can't make enough even though they are a little rough! Much prefer your design.
  6. Hi Everyone I've been reading these chainsaw carving threads for a while now, some very impressive carvings! I'm just starting out, obviously with the standard mushrooms and recently Xmas trees. Just a couple of question I need answering though.. Mainly what is the best wood to use for carving and should it be seasoned? I have a bit of willow I haven't touched yet as it was only cut down a few weeks ago, any good? I also have access to some sweet chesnut if I want it. Any help would be brilliant. Cheers!
