  1. Great, Thats what I was looking for really .. So its a project for me then to get it down and to the Mill.. Just need to make my mind up on Plank thickness .. for me a 1 1/2" is good to work with but that doesn't cover all used maybe I will get some plank and the some Beam size sections to dry in my barn till I know what to do with it.. I have loved this tree for over 10 yrs gutted it dead or almost..
  2. Thanks for the info .. so is that around £200/400 total ish? Just if we are talking hundreds I will use the tree myself.. that was all Andy
  3. Cheers Alec, Just checking I have the correct . if the Wood is in good shape the main trunk could be worth a total of £200/400 ? not sure what a "Hoppus feet" means Andy
  4. Isle Of Wight. But I have people around to Move it if thats a help.. I am half thinking about keeping it my self and taking it to my Local Mill ( a friend) but I just don't know the Value .. no idea at all .. Cheers Andy
  5. Hi There, I have a very old Walnut tree which did not have many Leafs on Last year and this years so far no sine of life at all (i have another and it has started to show sines of life) So I am going to take it down and was thinking about Selling the Tree. Would you be interested . if so I am looking for a guide to the value.. I have Messaged RobD. but if anyones has any leads on best place to sell or a price guide. that would really help .. Cheers Andy its approx. 2.70m round..
  6. you guys all know much more about the types of chain than me thats for sure, I just wonder what benifits if any you would get from the 3/8 PS3 as its a thinner chain and bar? and stihl (none Uk are selling the 241 like this) MS-241-C-M-Chainsaw | Stihl Shop Auckland Central
  7. Thanks for that info so is that a .325 ?
  8. I just bought an MS241, .325 bar and have been looking at which is the best setup .. I read on the web using 16" Guide Bar for 55 Drive Link 3/8" x .050" (1.3mm) 3005 000 481 / with PS3 chain 3616- 000-0055 is an amazing setup and the MS241 out performs the MS260 with that set up.. but that would mean I have to change the sprocket to put my 18" bar for the odd Mill and bigger work.. I am no expert and not sure how different it would be .. found this link looks like Sthil spec this but not in the Uk.. anyone tried this ?? main reason I even started looking into this is my 201T with a PS3 on and it is lovely to use.. so going to 3/8 bar on the MS241 would mean I can saw bars with the 201T (should I want to..)
