  1. Relatively new to all this as you may have read other posts from mine I've only just started playing about with saws as I've started buying my own so the boss won't kill me!

I keep hearing about exhaust mods but can't find pictures or how to do it??

I have tried searching but the search facility on the arbtalk app leaves a bit to be desired.... Either that or I'm terrible using it! But thanks anyway!

  2. I've got a special Oregon bar which is thinner and seems to cut faster

Do you have any pics so I know what I'm looking for?

  3. You'll get a Cannon to fit no prob - they come in a wide range of mounts...

But get a Sugihara - not got the light types yet but do have the pro solid versions (but I am biased!) - they are both great bars... if you buy a Sugihara and don't like it you can return it for refund and get a Cannon!

Thanks rob D what's your site?

  4. I recently have refurbed a 260 and love the saw and want to splash out on one of these expensive bars, I like the sound of the cannon bars but does anyone know if they fit? Or are the sugi hara pro bars (not laminate) worth a go instead? Cheers

  5. If it is triple action then it's fine to climb on, as long as it is rated for the correct SWL. Ball locks are just a different way of having a third action to open the crab. At least that's what I always thought

Yeah that's what I thought but I don't want to get into using ball locks and then get boll***ed for it

  6. What he said. Emails are far too easy to ignore and they probably get heaps of time wasters. They might not have the common decency to reply but in all fairness, if you're that keen you should have the imminent decency to phone them.

  9. Tyres are like most things you get what you pay for. As for the chassis clean off the rust paint it then wax oil the chassis with underseal. Job done.

Okay so waxoyl, no hammerite? And what tyres do you recommend for mainly road driving but off roading aswell?

  10. I would have thought fitting an old transit tipping unit would be simpler and cheaper.

Not as hard as you might think we fitted 2 small rams off a stump puller and put them behind a plate and they had enough power to push the chip out :)
