  1. Worked with one today... Dismantled a cherry and my colleague dismantled a Scott's pine... Used only one and a half batteries between us!!

It's such a pleasure to use in terms of noise and ease to start/use.

In fact it has become the saw of choice at work and if we have more than one climber climbing on site at once they argue over who gets to use it!!

  2. I would also like to add that I went to my old school yesterday (kings ely) for my little sisters parents evening... After speaking to the headmistress about 2 huge London plane trees in the schools grounds apparently the Local Tree officer has in forced a rule that no one is allowed to walk within a 20feet radius of the Canopy's over hang!!

This is the tree it's massive:

  3. Thats a lot of lowering for a first dismantle, your boss must have faith in your ability ,well done.

what were the targets below ?

Thanks buddy, the "you must definitely not hit targets" were a telephone line that was against the third stem in line with the fence and 2 Japanese maples at the base of the sycamore.

  4. Yes it is and yes it is!!

After the dismantle it only used 1.5 bars of battery (less than half) and the video doesn't do the saw any justice as I was feathering the trigger!

It also has the luxury of not having to pull start the saw every time you want to use it.

I never would have considered using one until it was handed to me on the job, I was very very surprised! Definitely recommend it.

  5. Hi guys,

This is my first post on Arbtalk, I'm very new to the world of tree work but very keen to learn and get stuck in.

I though I would share this video of me climbing this week... It was my first ever dismantle. Here's the link:

Sorry it's so sped up... I was trying to fit all the footage in.

I'm ready to take a ribbing, so give me your best and maybe I can learn from it ;-)
