  1. chop the lots in to log, give it a LOLER and a risk assesment, you will be laughing.

    pure rawness, nah but seriously, bark is there to protect the tree from the elements, humans , rats, pathogens, cattle, youth, ***** scum. bark comes in maney forms, for example the cork oak is much thicker than a beech for example, pure devastation multiple windblown dismantle under heavy artillary fire in bagdad.
  3. i would consider semi invasive inspection (resistograph) and possibly removal of selective branches to displace the bulk of the weight from the roadside, there are many options available before a take down should be considerd.
