  1. With the thorns, I'd go for blackthorn, prunus Spinosa
  2. If this helps - I did the exam 3 years ago and i found that all you needed was the book and lots of testing by workmates and family, i didnt read any extra information at all, just used the front index of each chapter and made sure i could explain all the terms. ie apoplast, xylem etc etc.if i didnt understand a term i read it a few times until it sunk in. i had a copy of the cds but found the american accent really really annoying.
  3. Hello all, i am also doing the level 4 diploma in September at Merristwood, i don't suppose anyone has a copy of a current reading list so i can collect a few more books i need? i have the main books from a reading list i got over a year and a half ago but from a different college and just wanted to see if it had changed much?

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
