Unfortunately our Logset harvester was broken in to and harvester head stolen on Tuesday night in west kent, please keep a look out as have heard few bits going missing in the area recently Head is a Logset 6m on just refurb end so looks new also stole battery's toolboxes ect Machine was very hard to get to and locked, immobilised these people obviously are familiar with these machines and know what they are doing

I agree with what you are saying, although if replanted crop would now be nearly 30 years old and of value rather than self sown re-gen birch ect that has never been managed and still only 2-3 inch

can see south east being in trouble in the future, demand already outstripping quality standing timber and not planting enough softwood,lots of small squirrel damaged,unmanaged hardwood and over-stood chestnut chipwood!

in my experience its harder to sell as won't go on a lorry very well and a lot slower to cut/handle with crane than normal firewood, local firewood merchant with tractor bulk trailer worth a shout?
