  1. Farmi Wp36 firewood processor | eBay I see this processor is for sale again on ebay. This time for sale in Aberdeen. It was on with R&R civils a few weeks ago. Sent the seller an email and this was the response....... "Hi and thanks for the email. I am sorry about the late reply. The tractor is in very good condition, no problems here,no VAT added. The buy it now price is £2,500 (I can also have it delivered to you within the UK for nothing extra). I will get somebody to bring it to you if you decide to buy it but we have to close the deal through eBay, inspection period prior buying it along with a refund policy will be included in the sale terms. Let me know if you want details on how to complete the sale. I attached pictures. It's located in Aberdeen Thank you, Nikolaos" It has been removed as of this morning so hope it was flagged to ebay rather than bought! Just thought I would point it out. Elliott

  3. Think he confirmed the load was seasoned by saying it weighed 0.62 for 1.2 cube. Sounds pretty good to me. Think the CAB route is a good one to go down. They have always achieved great things for my dad very quickly no matter how big or small the problem.
  4. Based over near Birchington. Garth if you want to send their details then the farm could be interested. The bloke they are waiting for at the moment keeps putting them off with broken bits here and there. Said he was gonna be there a month ago. Thanks for your thoughts there Rich. I spose most coppice stuff that would be suitable goes for fencing etc, leaving the akward stuff for firewood that is no good for a processor! Catch 22. Needs a bit more thought I think.
  5. Hello again! Just wondering if anyone would be interested in hiring a farmi 36 road tow processor with operator in kent and further afield. Just putting the feelers out to see if I can justify buying one. There doesn't seem to be many people in kent offering processor hire. The farm i work on can't seem to get anyone to come and process thier 20 odd tonne sitting in the yard! Any thoughts?
  6. Yeah I would be hiring my self with the machine. You'd get the most out of it and hopefully it all back in piece at the end of the day. For those that do hire out regularly, do you have busy periods in a season or is it random. Also is there any training needed for the old insurance?? Seems you need a ticket for everything these days.
  7. Hello there! I'm new on here but have been reading the posts debates for a while which are very informative for a young upstart like me. Had a bit of a question for the processor owners..... For those that hire out, do you have peak times of the year or is it all pretty steady? I work on a farm spraying and combining from april to october, and then supply a few logs around the area in the winter with a friend during the winter. Looking at maybe getting a processor to use our selves but could only justify it if we hire out also. Just wondering how others have found it hiring out. Looking for one to go behind the land rover with it's own power. Farmi WP36 seems to get good praise from you guys. Not a bad price either. I'm based in kent, in St Nicholas at Wade, but we do the logs around the faversham area where the storage is. The farm where I work have just got a processor in for two days at £240 a day plus £120 transport (from the other side of kent), plus they have to supply the tractor and fuel, and bloke to help load the machine with wood!! Thought that was a little steep. Anyway your thoughts on the matter would be much appreciated.
  8. Hello, Looking for a bit of seasoned hard cord wood in kent. We're based near faversham. I know this is a bit of wishful thinking at this time of year but thought I'd ask anyway, incase there's a spare bit lurking...... Me and a friend are doing a few logs over the winter until the farm work starts up again. Got lots of scotts pine but need hard to mix in as we have run out. Anything will do. Also could anyone explain as a rule how many cubic meters you get from an unseasoned tonne, and also a seasoned tonne??? Seems to be a lot of tonnage talk on here. Difficult to get my head round it. Meters seems much simpler. Many thanks Elliott
