  5. Thanks to all for comments on pole rescue i posted yesterday, passed my CS38 today and ended up doing a 3 man rescue from the pole where casualty is belayed separately and I spiked down after. looking forward to my cs39 next! cheers
  6. Thanks James so if you spike up as rescuer on a pole ,you install a false anchor for the belay line and a climb system for rescuer? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Thanks Dan , we were only taught to send them down by themselves but reading assessment schedule it refers to direct attachment to rescuers harness which infers you always go down with them? Hi all,it's a while since we covered it at college and my cs38 is looming , just want to clarify when rescuing from a pole and installing false anchor for belay line from ground does rescuer descend with injured party by being clipped onto belay line and injured harness and both are lowered by ground crew?   12. Hi ladies and gents Well finally taken the leap and signed up at Capel manor to do the Diploma in Arboriculture in September. Am very excited by the new career change at the tender age of 44 and to be working with trees. Part of the course requires work experience so I'm looking for anything related to Arboriculture. So if you need a willing pair of hands i'm available and not shy of hard work , have own transport and ppe and have used chainsaws for firewood over the years, also able to drive up to 7.5t. Any offers greatly received, I'm based west London but willing to travel Cheers David

  15. been running my own street theatre company for last 13 years ,so used to loading driving unloading getting soaking wet and driving home(well not always) and filled the gaps with scene and prop making and various odd jobs, really looking forward to working with trees, will try and get some groundie work experience before september if i can get cs30/1 tickets, got full-driving licence and hungry work-ethic, cheers
