  1. There seems to be a bit more work going on here now so I thought i'd give this a whirl again. I've recently moved to Grimsby and I'm after work, I am desperately trying to get out of being a chef, I got CS30&31 a couple of years ago and had a solid 6 months chainsaw experience felling and woodland working/tractor driving/groundwork etc. I am admittedly a bit rusty because i haven't worked with a chainsaw since then but a bit of a refresher would sort that out. I am as of moving here the second earner in the house so I can afford to work part-time ad hoc if necessary to build up some experience. I am happy enough to trial if anyone wants to see me work before deciding to employ me. I am hard working (isn't everyone who posts these) I spent 4 years in the navy, have worked voluntarily for a year (as mentioned above) and otherwise have over 10 years solid work experience and can get several references if required. I am physically fit as I am a rower. I have a full clean driving licence. I am willing to invest in training equipment needed but need to start earning again before I can commit to that stuff. Please let me know if you're interested, I know the area is a bit of a black hole for jobs, but fingers crossed. All the best Chris 07896760657 [email protected]

  3. Hi, I'm in the North East of England. I know land is a premium in this country in particular, but i'm after a small piece of unused, probably derelict woodland to use. My intention is to get it cleaned up and possibly make a small venture out of it. I'm talking about very small scale production, firewood, charcoal making, maybe some more adventurous bits and pieces. I'm only interested in low impact work, and working with the woodland in mind and any ideas you may have. I have chainsaw NPTC 30 & 31 and i worked voluntarily in France a couple of years ago doing carpentry/various eco related tasks and cleaning up a small derelict woodland using the waste to make charcoal sold on site for the owners 'eco' tourism business. So i've got some of the basic skills and knowledge to get going. This is something i've wanted to do for a while now, but been unable to because of my full time job. I still work full time but my job is much more flexible and i only work term time. At best this will work out and i can make a small venture out of it and potentially get something valuable out it. At worst, you'll give me the chance to do something i love doing and you'll get your woodland cleaned up for free for whatever you want to do with it. I'm happy to discuss a small financial issues regarding use of the land. If anyone has got any ideas, let me know All the best Chris

  5. Hi again Chris, hopefully you'll remember we spoke in January, you told me to get back to you closer to the time to let you know what sort of time i'd be available to work so you could see if you had anything for me, i know it's still a way off, but i thought i'd get in touch. I'm off work over most the school holidays as i told you before, i have a half term week May 27-30. As far as i know i break up for the summer 4th July, and i'm off then until september. There will be some time in those weeks when i have to work as i cover the managers holiday. As i'm working as a chef in a college i work mon-fri 6am-2pm, so in the interim if there is anything else i can help with outside those times let me know. I've just had to take on a second part time job in a restaurant and in all honesty if i could avoid doing that job and coming to work for you instead i'd be much happier. Hope thats of some use to you hopefully hear from you soon Chris 07896760657
  6. Hi, i recently moved to the North East, and have a full time job which gives me most the summer holidays off. I'm after some casual work, and have been looking to get into arb work for ages now. But jobs are difficult to find. I have got my CS30/31 and i have got some experience felling etc. I haven't got my own gear at the moment, but i'm willing to get it, i just haven't bothered making the investment as work is so scarce. I know it's early but i'm just putting this out to see if anyone would be interested. I'm always on the lookout to get some more experience and now i have a job with a hefty amount of holiday, seems like a good time to try. I've got my own transport and i work like a shire horse. If you have anything going or know anyone who might, please let me know, i might be available for some afternoons or weekends if you want to give me a trial. Cheers Chris
  7. Hi, i'm looking to relocate to the north east to be closer to my girlfriend who is studying at Sunderland. I have been trying to get into arb work for a while now and it is difficult, but i'm just putting this out there incase anyone up there is after someone, because i can't really move until i know i have work. I'm hard working, i've worked in catering for years including time in the Royal Navy. I've got CS30 & CS31 and spent quite a bit of last year working voluntarily felling and clearing derelict woodland along with a lot of other related work. So if anyone is after a groundsman or similar let me know. I'm flexible on hours and to a certain extent the location. It would be great to hear from anyone offering an opportunity. All the best Chris Can send my CV upon request.
  8. Hi, I'm looking for some work in Telford particularly, i've got CS 30/31 and a bit of experience working with a chainsaw. I did a fair bit of outdoors work last year voluntarily in France, and spent a couple of months felling and clearing derelict woodland. Am happy doing anything, and just want some experience and something to keep me going, but would be more than happy if something a bit more permanent came along. I have a job working evenings and weekends so i'm free pretty much all week in the days. Let me know if you could do with an extra pair of hands, i have got my own car, but no PPE etc. as yet. I left the Navy a couple of years ago and have been trying to get into the industry since, so any help would be much appreciated. Regards Chris
  9. Hi, I'm looking for some work in Telford particularly, i've got CS 30/31 and a bit of experience working with a chainsaw. I did a fair bit of outdoors work last year voluntarily in France, and spent a couple of months felling and clearing derelict woodland. Am happy doing anything and not too bothered about money, just want some experience and something to get me started. I have a job working evenings and weekends so i'm free pretty much all week in the days. Let me know if you could do with an extra pair of hands, i have got my own car, but no PPE etc. as yet. 10. Hi, i'm after some casual work in Telford/ Shropshire area. I have CS30/31 but no kit. I spent a bit of time late last year in France working with a chainsaw and general woodland work. I'm happy doing anything, even if it's just labour based. I am available all weekdays as i work weekends and a couple of weekday evenings. Overall i am after experience as i've been trying to get into tree work on and off now, and spent most of last year working voluntarily to try and get into something different. I have had to come back due to serious lack of funds, so any casual work would be appreciated. I'm not bothered about earning much, but as it's difficult to get anywhere without experience, (which is hard to come by itself) if anyone is willing to give me an opportunity it would be greatly appreciated. I have a clean driving licence and my own car. I have got a good work record including time spent in the military and can provide a CV with references if anyone is interested. Regards Chris
  11. Hi, obviously this is just up to christmas, when do you need someone to start and what is the time scale of the work?
