  1. Hi all,

Does anyone have a part number or supplier for a radiator for the above machine? Mine is on its way out and I’ve been quoted around £400 from my TW dealer for a replacement but considering a mate of mine just bought a brand new radiator for his BMW engined Mini Cooper S for £49 [emoji33] how can a basic agricultural rad cost £400?! If I have to pay it then I will because it’s not worth knackering my chipper up for but I thought it would be worth asking the question.

    Cheers

    Ben

  2. So it's the valve on the motor which determines whether 2 speed tracking is an option? I was under the impression that just increasing flow would produce faster speed but I didn't know where the "extra flow" would come from. I'm pretty good at technical things but electrics and hydraulics I don't know too much about. One usually leaks and the other one produces smoke.

  3. I don't intend to have to run behind it to keep up but at least a decent walking pace would be nice. Like the hinowa machine I have, second speed is a comfortable controlled speed but you actually get somewhere. I hear the new TW280 has two speed tracking but I may be wrong. It would be interesting finding out how that's set up.

  4. Right, might not bother then as I expect it will cost a fair bob. I do have an hinowa tracked dumper which just has two pipes to each motor and by opening a separate valve on the controls provides more flow to the track motors via the track lever/valves. I was hoping there was a similar system I could retrofit to the 190TR.

  5. That's a bloody great help mate, right, if you could get the wiring diagram to me that would be great. I'm not saying I'd get anywhere thought but its worth a try. It would be great if I could come by yours, but at the moment I can't really afford to come up at the moment.(my landy drinks fuel for fun). I have took several photos of the wiring but I'm using my phone so I can't post the pictures unless I do an email. Timberwolf did send me a wiring diagram but it was for the current TW35/150 which is different to mine. Thanks so much for the help so far.

  6. Hi Mate, yes you're right, grey box above the flywheel. And yes to stalling when chipping large timber, I have to hit reverse then forward reverse etc, while going through big stuff. For what I can tell someone has messed with the A/S unit sensor because it was on full adjustment (roughly 4-5mm away from the flywheel) and it had sealing gunk around it. And various other bits of wire seem to be "new". The other thing is even if I disconnect the A/S multi plug the chipper will continue to chip (then stall) oh and the rollers do rotate whilst at idle.

  7. I don't think you are being rude, I asked for your help and advice and that's what you are all giving me. I have looked through all the wiring previously and today, I have sprayed all joints, contacts and relays with contact spray, checked that they are all clean tight etc. Re checked the belt tensions and distance of the A/S sensor. I'm crap with electrics when it comes to circuit testing, but I will try with a auto spark when I can get hold of (and afford) one! Cheers again folks.

  8. Thanks for the replies folks. The machine was bought at a MH auction which was a good mates, uncles business that he was closing down (and to be perfectly honest I don't think he would have known what anti stress was let alone know if it was working! I'm not fully convinced that the revs are actually a problem because when I did increase the revs to what TW said was correct (2800rpm) it sounded like a bag of nails. I'm wondering if that's the specifications for the TW35 (the newer version of mine?) It doesn't black smoke of struggle to pick up revs either. The problem is just with the A/S system not working. But I'm not ruling out anything so a service will be done next week as soon as I get the bits. Oh and yes, I have found out that a bungee is a great throttle lock!:D

  9. Hi all, a bit of newbie advice required please. I have recently bought an Entec CH35 DH chipper year 98 (I think its a DH anyway) its a four cylinder Kubota diesel its a great runner apart from the anti-stress system. I have spoke to Timberwolf tech services and they gave me a few things to check I.e. Tightness of drive belts, A/S control unit sensor (distance away from the flywheel) and engine rpm. He said that my engine should be running at around 2800 rpm because the A/S only worked at the correct rpm, but when I checked mine it was on or around 1770 rpm. The factory fitted wire securing the high speed adjustment screw on the pump was intact which made me think 1770 rpm was correct and when I did increase the rpm to 2800 rpm and it sounded awful (so I put it back to how it was). Does anyone know what rpm this engine should run at on full throttle? And any other things to check to get the A/S working? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a loss now as what to do! Cheers folks.
