  1. Just a bit of food for thought mate as most of us have been there before looking for work it gets a bit down hearting
  2. Just a idea maybe instead of wanting climbers witch I understand as they bring more to the table but maybe lower the criteria to a experienced groundie as there could be the ideal candidate but just don’t have the money to get more tickets or such like and might be loosing faith .. all the best ..
  3. That looks a peach of a saw
  4. Hi all I'm looking for work in the Canterbury kent area I currently hold my cs30 I also hold my pa1-pa6-pa6aw spraying tickets too I have good knowledge of the tree surgery world ive worked in tree surgery for around 16 years on and off I'm 29 hold a clean drivers license I'm polite hard working and a good team player any info or leads would be very much appreciated please if any one needs any info or has any questions don't hesitate to pm me or call and text me on 07783606517 thanks all
  5. Thanks buddy that was the intention of this post but I think the way I worded it at the start didn't help ha ha but I appreciate it all that has been said already and I totally get where your coming from with the wrong company's yes the climbers help the groundies teaching them bits and getting them to do little bits that's how people learn but to get people to do things that we all know we shouldn't isn't on and doesn't help in the long run
  6. I appreciate all the comments I keep asking why myself maybe the Joe blogs are being paid less some of the firms I was only on £50 a day I work my ass off not one f them offered to put me through tickets I paid out for my cs30 as I was promised a job but once I paid out and done it the job was never there maybe most firms just use me when there in the **** and then don't need me any more .. as for on site I was doing the normal groundie jobs as well as some felling being site Forman while the climber is up the tree I have even climbed once or twice but still no good
  7. This was just a post to see what people thought about it or if they had similar experiences not a hint for a job or anything it's just annoying that Joe blogs who doesn't know how to fuel a saw let alone run one can seem to get more work than I can with knowledge and tickets
  8. Hi all I'm just after a bit of a chat and any help if poss I'm from Canterbury in Kent I've worked most my life in the tree surgery world all aspects of it I'm 29 I started when I was 16 trying to get a decent job with a good company now over the years I've worked with a lot of company's in my area and every time I end up being binned off for some joey with no clue in what's going on . Now I have my cs30 but have been using chainsaws since the age of 14 I work hard I'm polite always on time try and learn as much as possible from The climbers and any one els on the firm with knowledge to share I've even done a days graft and then stayed behind until 9-10pm just to help get the log orders ready for the next day with no overtime pay but I still always seem to get binned off to be honest it's actually killing my love for the job
