Black fungi at base of whitebeam???

I have been surveying old whitebeam at a premises and there is lots of ganoderma 'artists bracket' on those, made one fall over and ill helath in 5 or 6 others. They appear black on top but have a pale underside that you can write or draw easily on hence the name. If they are old brackets you probably won't see the pale underside or be able to write on them. Fungi and effect pics shown. -
Came across this old mature whitebeam with some kind of brown exudate seeping out at the spot where there is a dead limb remnant with the live tree having grown on upward partly enveloping the dead limb. Tree crown looked healthy but tree stem looks unsightly for the seeping. Is it just sap on the rise leaking or something more serious? Appreciate opinions.

High up on a veteran near dead sycamore, brackets visible of one or more fungi, I'm thinking Dryads Saddle but some looked too pale for dryads saddle imo but the stalks had those distinctive darker tags. Maybe they're going back after a touch of frost? There were a couple lying on the ground -pic 4 but that one doesn't look or is shaped like dryads saddle to me. Welcome your valued opinions!

Need ID help with following. 2 pics below of decay on mature horse chestnut, in otherwise good health. First pic shows Jelly like brown fruting body at base of tree which when prodded into the wood behind was mushy. 2nd pic shows a brown mud-like exudate from another wound about 1m up stem. Thanks

Found this fungi in the base of a semi-mature Western Hemlock yesterday, looks like Artists bracket (Ganoderma applanatum) but hadn't seen it on WH before, anyone like to confirm my ID. I was able to etch a line on the white underside it but it didn't etch as easily as artists bracket usually does imo. Thanks

ID help required with these 2 fungi found on the same very large dead ash tree. Are they Coriolus and Daldinia spp? Thanks

Found 2m up on over mature lime tree, limb had fallen off beneath it, may be a connection there, not sure. Size is about size of a fist and looks a bit like a sponge. Sparrisus crispa sprung to mid but they grow off roots and on conifers I think. Another sparrissis perhaps? Thanks

First pic is on sycamore, root collar area, looks a little like Kretzchmaria but doubts, wood mushy behind fungi. Second 2 pics are both on same scots pine tree, the bracket is 2m up and the toadstools are at foot of tree. Wondered if bracket was Phaeolus schweinitzii, the other I've little idea, look a little like pholiota maybe? Thanks for any assistance.

Pictures of 2 different fungi on separate mature sycamore below taken within past week - can anyone help with an ID? The bracket one shows location and close up (with a crappy phone camera) and is at the base of the tree. Thanks

Great, many thanks, would not have got that in a month of Sundays but will next time!! Other than my old copy of Mitchells trees of Britain and Europe can anyone recommend a good book or website on dendrology. My dendrology is clearly rusty!

Need assistance with another tree ID please. 2 pics below of foliage/flowers and stem. Looks like a Malus or Pyrus spp to me but the flowering in mid June and the clusters of small flowers on stalks put me off, most fruit trees would flower pre leaf emergence in April/May wouldn't they? Tree is mature but only 5m or so tall, dbh maybe 25-30cm. Any ideas? Thanks

Finding a lot of this black fungi on bark of lime and sycamore, what is it please? It does not mark your fingers, it is hard to the touch, is smooth and thin, so it's not any sooty bark disease type of thing I don't think. Looks fairly harmless but would like to know what it is.
