  1. I actually did a tank replacement today, took me the afternoon from start to finish taking it slowly and making sure I got it right. I did have the Stihl service manual, which cost about £6.50 and is worth buying to guide you through it step by step. The only specialist tool is the piston stop tool, though many use or prefer to use a bit of starter cord instead. Good luck with it - its a good feeling at the end knowing its a new, reliable machine again!

  4. Wow, never expected that discussion!! For clarity, but not wanting to end debate, twas a branch.
  5. Still a bit new to this, but have been asked about re-pollarding this (and a few others like it) main stems are a good 12m so its been left for a while - any views or tips?
