Bearing in mind at the time I took the credit card out originally I worked in a factory receiving full sick pay holiday etc so I don't believe I would have taken it but any way got a letter yesterday saying they do not believe it was missold and as I am having financial difficulties please call this number..... What company do you speak to?

  2. Not trying to stir things up here but how can it be mis sold, surely you knew what you were getting into when you took this stuff out, or did you not read the small print ?

I'm just interested to know is all.

    Mis sold as in:

    a) not being told you are paying it sometimes, as in my case it does not show on statements etc.

    b) being told you had to have it or you can't have the loan.

    c) being told you need when you don't because you are in full time work or have other finances available savings etc.

  3. Forms?

I just called em and they asked why I thought I had a claim so I told em I was s/employed and that was good enough. Got the cheque for nearly 2k a few weeks after.

I have called them 2, couple days later I have forms to fill in.

The process is relatively easy, just make sure you have the info ready when you call!

  4. All pictures were taken in North Norfolk, Kelling, near Holt and North Walsham.

It is a very odd arrangement, I guess things have been moved around and this was cheaper than a complete rebuild.

In the last picture the 11kv is running in the lower conductor for eight spans to a ground mounted transformer that supplies a hospital and the open phase lv that runs back along the same eight spans and runs off to other nearby houses.

I would guess the transformer used to be on the pole in the last picture and just supplied the houses. The hospital was built and due to voltage drop / three phase demand etc. they added the under slung 11kv to the gm tx and fed the lv back along the existing lv conductors to save money.

First of all this would of been better posted in the utility forum, second the conductors are only insulated to protect the conductors nothing else, thirdly pm me if you want the UKPN (EDF) tree managers contact details.

  5. wouldn't it be nice if they used the profits to pay some money to all the contractors they owed when they went bust. I know guys who seriously planned to hang them selves when that happened, they lived day to day, some lost their homes, others their wives.

Business is business their director told me......

Unfortunately business is business, don't shoot the messenger. I know some of these people, wouldn't wish it on anyone!
