  1. Hi mate Ihad the same problem as you, Rayburn of22 fuel bills rising went onto website they said it would be costing around £51 quid a week to run never mind about all the faff to change the wicks and vaccum out regularly,I have fitted a Dunsley Highlander 10 in place of rayburn does hot water heating and have found out you can cook on top of the stove. We live 1000ft above sea level and in a draughty old farm house,I can say we have never been as warm it runs 7 large rads and loads of hot water in fact i now have that many showers i am think i might get a skin condition
  2. he left them by the log pile 2 green carrier bags!
  3. We started using builders bags and delivering them with a volvo fl6 with a hyab, soon stopped nearly all jobs we get we cant get anywhere near to off load so now gone onto transit tipper and tie bag tops up, also cost of lorry, operators licence ,tacho its all extra aggro
  4. no not anymore the lack of his presence proves its him !
  5. Last summer i had a really nice old chap call into our yard and asked if he could have a net bag of logs, yep no problem £4.50 please he said thats a bit dear, so feeling sorry for him i said go on then £3.00, With that he went away happy and i thought i had done my good deed for the day ,This went on untill the bad weather came in november, I was overwhelmed with orders and had to start to deliver with my kramer loading shovel, I came home this particular day only to see this old guy waiting in the cold how he got his car up i will never know. I put him 2 bags of logs in his boot and towed his car back onto the main road later on i went back into our yard and saw somthing green by a big stack of duggie fir logs split and sheeted, The old bugger had been helping himself and i must have caught him red handed, Its funny but he has not called again
  6. I have just had a good one tonight ! Chap comes up our drive walks up our yard looking at my stack of logs, I went to him and asked could i help you,He said How much are your logs i said the bulk bags or the net sacks he said those pointing to the bulk bags of hardwood I said £70 he said are you joking i have just had a log burner installed and would like to fill my car up for a couple of quid! you people in the country are jumping on the bandwagon and trying to make a quick buck. To which i helped him back into his toyota prius and he silently reversed down the drive :001_tt:001_tt2:2:
