  1. A chap near me went to the docs with a headache, which got worse and worse. Eventually it was discovered that he was burning treated wood on an open fire, and was told he was told by the Doc that he would end up killing himself. He had no idea what the treated timber contained, it was arsenic. I don't think that arsenic is still used? But there is an awful lot of old treated timber out there.

  2. drove through town and only one chimney smoking, this time last year it was a different scene, even the pub said it was too warm to light the fire. Mid Jan we will get an artic blast, been following a Canadian weather model that seem to get it right, so get ready for sales then :) fingers crossed!

  3. Got a complaint, my first. Your logs are wet they have filled the room with smoke and customers are complaining. Got there really concerned, logs were 18% mc, it was the coal smoking because the chimney damper was shut, really wound me up as the jumped up *&%** was moaning in front of customers. Anyway he ended up bight red when i opened the damper and the fire went mad, they have a massive log burner and never get it p to temp plus insist in burning it with the doors wide open. Amazing how many people have no common sense!!

  4. I find using hiab to load processor much better way of doing it in terms of price, and you can use it for other jobs. Just works for me with this set up. I do alot of roadside collections so straight off trailer onto processor, now got it so controls for both can be reached without moving standing position.

  5. Just starting to take off, and it only started raining this afternoon :)

I used to sell Arb Waste i now buy and process cord wood, not even half the work and the logs are looking good, kindling orders have started coming in, i just hope we have snow in Oct and i should be a busy boy :)
