  1. Many thanks. That would poss ,make sense. I spoke to Jason in Service last week. He gave me the belt size for 202. However this is too big. Will call this morning. Thank you.
  2. Hi I have an older greenmech chipper. I think its a 202. Has an 8inch shute and lister lpw3 cylinder engine with fuel tank mounted on top of engine. I am trying to find a manual and or if anyone knows the belt size. Chewed them off the other day. Many thanks.
  3. Hi. Could I please have a link to this manual as I also have one of these chippers badly in need of some TLC?
  4. Thanks everyone for your advice. Went to finish the job today. About four big rings left to cut. Saw cut out again after 2nd ring. When i pull starter there is no cough or splutter which makes me think its a fuel prob. However on completing the steps i did last night I got it to firer again. Saw seemed to want to cut out on idle too. I did this a further 3 times before i got job finished. I did notice on a couple of occassions when I removed the fuel pipe to the carb to see if there was fuel present that pipe seemed dry. Perhaps its not drawing petrol correctly?
  5. Thanks for that. Saw had fuel in it. Tried everything tonight. Cleaned plug, coil, fly wheel. Seemed to have compression ok, so i thought it might be a fuel prob. Poured fuel down the shoot, still nothing. Scoured the forums and found someone saying to remove plug, turn upside down and give a couple of pulls. Did this, a little fuel or something dribbled out. Turned her round, popped the plug in, gave her a pull and she fired first time. Thank feck. Still none the wiser as to the root of this problem tho.
  6. Saw cut out today while ringing a large trunk. Saw was quite hot at this point. Would not start again. After much swearing packed up and came home. Checked plug and its sparking ok. Any ideas on what to do next or what may be wrong.
  7. Some pictures showing the general state and shape of crown. Most of the weight is to one side.
  8. Thanks a lot guys. The owner is rather reluctant to have tree removed. It's not posing a hazard where its situated. Its a short but very broad tree with a trunk diametre of 1.5 - 2 metres. Due to the extent of deadwood reshaping the crown is pretty much impossible. Could pollarding be an option? Or fell it?
  9. I've been called to a large beech tree. Most of the crown is showing signs of quite severe dieback. Between some buttresses is growing a dark fungus. Is this daldinia? On the grass around the base are remains of a different type of growth. Also on the bark are whiteish blotches with black specs. I've tried to capture these on camera. Can anyone help? What would you do?
