Hi guys and girls,
My name is Matt (or BigPinus, I appologise for the name as I was drunk at the time and found it slightly ammusing, small things and all that), i'm 23 and I come from Stoke-on-Trent.
I have just started uni at Moulton College in Northampton where I am studying Arboriculture, so far so good.
For the past few years I have been travelling around to various places around the world doing a number of things, skiing, working, more skiing, party boat etc. While working in Australia I got the chance to work with a few different Arborists and was lucky enough to climb good sized trees that I wouldn't normally be able to climb in the UK such as, 1000 year old Red Gums (some of the oldest in Victoria) and some monster Mountain Ash up in the Dandenong mountain range (Huge!!!).
I found this forum a couple of weeks ago and thought i'd better make myself known as you guys could be a valubale learning resource while i'm studying Arb. There seems to be a good community here and I hope to be a part of it as trees are a big passion of mine.
I'll attempt to post some pics of my experiences.
