  1. Hi Dave, nice to talk to you. Yes we shear our tree's every year except for the year that they are sold as it can leave scaring that dosnt look good. We dont shear anything from April til july as this is the time when the trees are at there most active and are developing new buds. Scots pines are not something we grow here but i have had a lot of exp with them in the past, we only grow Nordman, Fraser and Norway spruce. You are looking for a 60 degree taper from the leader to get a nice shape on the tree. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions fire away!
