Hi five for the Posch processor! We send off a blade once a year and we probably do 400-500 ton a year though our 350. cuts much faster than chains. The green and orange arnt without thier faults but i think they are generally better machines, not chep though. The diference in timber straightness and iameter is night and day though.

Only sold when i get the dosh and as of yet i have nothing!. I think ive got one artic going end of the week. I can get you a quote for an 8 wheeler as ive got a bloke from New Forest doing bits for us atm. Oh and dont worry about making up loads - ive got 23 tons+ more close by. Chris

Guys i use tend to do want to do east west runs. I would guess it would be 500 quid 400 for an 8 wheeler (no unrequested opinions please - it probably doesnt concern you!). Shame your not a little closer. I can get an exact quote in the morning if you want? Chris

I Don't think it is something Oregon has over looked? They know chains. Wannabe logger - leave the depth gauges to factory standard. It can make the saw very unpredictable if you don't. It does make it cut faster by taking them down -yes. But why would the consumer put up with sub standard chains out the box? if you need to sharpen it before use then take it back? The first time I sharpen I do take the rakers down by two strokes but to suggest a chain is better when 3/4 through its usable life is odd to me?

Each to their own. But this guy won't benefit from your advice imo. A new chain has no imperfections. And more of a cutting edge. My mate's like you... Only bins it when he has broken three or more teeth. Love's his notes! The physics don't work outfit me?

No chain is as good as when its new. When they get to 25% they are gone. Its just not worth it when you are trying to get buried quick and fast in mature Douglas' butt. Bin it and try to keep it out the dirt FOREVER!
