Has that not been covered in cs30??
This is the point I was trying to make. We've taken on various staff over the years and they all have the same problem that they haven't been taught the basics of sharpening. Is this the fault of the tutors or the NPTC standards? Yes we all had to start somewhere and we all learn over time but shouldn't the standards being taught be of concern?

I would like to add that you can have the best saw in the world but if you can't sharpen it properly its a complete waste of time and money ..I have seen a vast majority of saw ops who can't sharpen a saw or diagnose what it needs to keep optimum cutting abilities then complain ..
How true no one who passes CS 30/31 can sharpen for toffee - what's going on?

Ours is totally road legal and will do about 20 mph, it's surprising how far you can drive it

Just have to ask a questions over that timber trailer.
Would it be possible to run one of those on a stand alone engine mounted on the trailer rather than trailer hyd? Was always thinking of a new project next year of building a timber trailer with grab that could be towed with a land rover or 4x4.
Or do you think the engine would have to be too big? Was thinking of a compact engine.
Sorry for the derail. Just asking when I remember to.
Yes it's quite possible , in fact it came set up to be run on one ie shorter pipes . Have a look at Riko uk website
