After 25 years we have given up with the firewood side of our business.
Though there are apparently more customers out there but we have found our markets have all but dried up . It appears around us every gate post , local paper etc has adverts for firewood "£50 per load brigade " . We are also finding it so much more difficult to find wood to buy in, what we can is so over priced we were struggling to make it pay. I know there will be the normal comments on here of that its someone else's turn now etc but it was a job I genuinely had a passion for and to see equipment that ive worked for being sold off is heart braking. Im not saying its the end , just hopefully a pause until the beer money chaps find another source of income.

Disco , trying to persuade her indoors she needs to sell her Freelander 2 for a Disco as the kids are getting bigger ; but no she's talking Fiesta ?*!?!

The stihl parts are still very easy to obtain, as are the husky parts. I would keep an 056 and the 242 personally, although if I were you, I'd sell the 242 to me

Haha I was going to offer a home to the 242 obviously he knows not what he's got

Good thought Roger but the spray booth doesn't do complete trailers!
Another factory tour day will be announced soon too......

You've not rang me back yet Mr B , has Mr Turner taken my idea any further ?

I have a husky 560 I'm thinking of changing the sprocket from the 325 chain to a 3/8 chain it's meant to be unreal but does anyone have any faults I should know about before I change it ?
Careful the oil drive is part of the sprocket / clutch

We employ 9 , it's my worst nightmare to have one of them get injured , hence why we train them all in first aid and insist on safety even if it delays the job. Perhaps I'm over cautious but as Bens accident shows it happens in a split second he was lucky - be safe you only get one chance at life
