  1. Hi ya breezeblock.

Thanks for that. I looked at it yesterday, turns out its a ex hire machine! Got good records of work carried out on it. But no hour meter. It has a fair amount of play in the side to side pivots and rear steering pin. Would this be a case of replacing with new bushes, or is it more complex than that? Seems to run up ok, and move, apart from the steering. Didn't get a chance at a slope, but ran it round their yard. It's up for 2750+, which seems a bit steep with the work that needs doing and the lack of hr meter. What do you reckon? Cheers Sam.

  2. Hi guys looking into getting my first stump grinder I've seen a Rayco RG1625, looks and sounds good from the pictures. What should I be looking at? Other than the obvious bearing belts etc. how many hours would you expect from a 2002 machine? Did some maths and I came up with 1500hrs? And what should I be expecting to pay?

  3. This is one of the many 4mix problems i've not come across yet! The pipe going to the filter case obviously recycles fumes from the tank so they can be burnt.

Another case of legislation making things more complicated!!

Would think if you stored them horizontally there would be no problem, but thats not very convenient.

Lets face it if it wasn't for the legislation there would be no 4mix, and wouldn't the world be a better place then!!!!

My 4mix long reach stands conveniently in the corner of my lock up. And does not have this problem. But it does get through spark plugs for a past time! Definitely won't be getting another to replace this one, when it blows up. My small engine mechanic chap says I am lucky it hasn't yet!

  4. I hate to say this, it could be my eyes, but that does not look like Ash, more like young Lime, as you look through to the leaves, its not dappled, and that bark is very smooth, are you sure its Ash?? I am due a visit to speck savers so please all stay calm :thumbup1:

Positive it's ash. Best get to specsavers, the majority of the foliage in the picture is that of the sycamore tree behind the said ash.

  5. I am looking to hire a stone burier. I have

access to a compact tractor. But if necessary

I don't mind hiring as a set. I'm based South

of Cambridge and the job is near Royston.

    Does anybody have any recommendations?

  6. I have a 21" Honda Shanks. I would Highly Recommend it. It is a Proffesional contractors mower, it has a fan built in to assist with blowing wet grass over the rear roller. Which is great in this country I got it three seasons ago and its still gowing strong. It was £800 inc Vat at the time.
