  1. Around the ten mark if you are able to fit the springs yourself, can be difficult to locate a single cab pickup, this one had covered just on 50,000 miles when I bought it. I had used a Transit tipper before so I had something to sell on. I had cosidered the Landy, but the Ranger is cheaper on lets say running cost's:001_smile:

It’s a bit mad that single cabs are becoming like hens teeth, go on ebay and put in "pickup", and the listings are just full of double cabs.

  2. One thing that has bugged me a bit is why are we flying the union jack? England has no empire anymore so if it's British surely it should be George's cross flying! Or am I missing something.

:confused1: Because the union jack is the flag of Great Britain, not the flag of the British Empire.

  3. You're all wrong! Navaras for the win!

Oh wait, hang on a second.....they are completely crap and break down constantly (13 trips to garage in 12 months)!

If I was getting a truck again it would be a G wagon.

13 trips to the garage in a year is shocking! :laugh1:

Are you going to persist with it or get something ells?

  4.

I keep going on about Black Book, its by Paul verhoeven (robo cop, basic instinct, starship troopers, total recall etc) and very much worth a watch, its in his native Dutch (subtitles) and is based on facts (unlike inglorious) and its shocking and moving and very well made indeed.

Your right there Rupe, Black Book is a very good film. More people should see it. Imo a lot of European made films with low budges are far superior to a lot of the crap that comes out of Hollywood.

Saw Inglorious Basterds last night for the first time, didn’t think it was great to be honest, but then i didn’t expect it to be great, as it was a tarentino film, seemed quite cartoonish. I like war films to be realistic. Worth watching just for Diane Kruger though

  5. I use to wear chainsaw gloves, but not any more. Like mozza said there too bulky and end up taking them off to do most things, they haven’t got any grip and when wet are even worse/dangerous. I normally wear those £2 a pair grip gloves, much more comfortable.

But people should wear what they want.

  6. Yeah I've been looking at rangers I know another company that uses them he swears by them!!!!!

Can you put a winch on the front?

Yes, got a winch on mine, you cut out part of the bumper and it bolt straight onto the chassis.

  7. I’ve look at defenders in the 3 - 5k price range, doesn’t seem much out there worth buying at that price unfortunately. More trouble than there worth at that price unless your lucky.

I’m a defender fan, but it’s amazing what some people think their landys are worth.

  8. Been burning 85% crack willow this winter, been split and stacked for a year, burns great and gives out plenty of heat, but burns quite quickly, so split it quite big. Spits, so no good for open fires.

Many people turn there noses up at it, but i think its underated firewood, but not as good as other hard woods. Bonus is it grows fast.
