  1. That’s my thinking.

The Beech I’ve milled and used for my own projects is lovely timber, is a bit of a shame it’s not currently very desirable.

Saying that Dave seems to flog it quite readily.

Andy, did you make that rocking horse yourself ? If so where did you get the plans for it ? Or did you just make it up as you went along ? Cheers.
  2. Hi, I have a small ms180 that is just used for cutting firewood. Does anyone know if there are any metal spikes / dogs that would fit it as the plastic moulded ones are useless and have worn away.

    Cheers.

  3. A few month back, the hospital I work for, took on 15 new nurses from Zimbabwe. We have turned a ward into a home for them. All areas of the NHS are understaffed due to the abysmal wages. But the top management don't care because they are all working from home still and are in denial about what is happening.

  4. Certainly is.. A wonderful place left to go to ruin.. so much could be done,  and for so little, if only people could be bothered. They spend MILLIONS on "experts" to try to tell them how to improve the patients "experience" if you like and money is wasted like water. I could tell them for nothing, all they have to do is to put everything back as it was 50 years ago..

I do what i can and have done well for one man. There is a lot more i want to try to get done this year. I have to get my building site dumper up and running so as to be able to transport stuff about the site more easily and i will get the excavator out there too and have a proper sort out of a BIG project i want to get sorted. It all takes time though and i have a lot i have to do in other areas of my life too.

I WILL get there though. Just PROUD to be able to do what i can and make a real difference, VERY VERY proud, make no mistake. I want to get neglected and abandoned areas back into use for the patients, and i will, make no mistake about that one!!

    john..
Hi John, I work at an old mental health hospital, and I know exactly how much money the NHS managers waste. Trying to keep the buildings and grounds ( including woodland) in good condition is a nightmare.

  5. Hi, I'm after some recommendations on half decent CCTV for the house. I've looked at yale, Swann etc but haven't a clue about what to get. I don't want anything fancy that involves uploading to cloud or anything, just a 4 or 6 camera package that saves to a harddrive and can be viewed on a PC.

    Cheers.

  6. Yeah dont know if you guys remember me falling off a ladder in my yard about 4yrs ago now broke and dislocated my ankle and broke my wrist 3 months non weight bearing 3 months in an air boot my surgeon said life changing accident was in work in my wheelchair  back at work after 8/9 months surgeon was amazed that I could even walk ok let alone back to work ,it can be amazing how we can heal .
I remember that mark, didn't the landlord of your yard demand back pay of rent arrears immediately after you got back to work or something ?
  7. What bugs me, is that I'm thinking about buying myself a small van ( Nemo, fiorina) due to getting my new dogs (Huskies), the Van's have a small 1.3 ltr engine yet they get charged at £280 or whatever but the car version is only £30. How is that fair when it's the same engine ?

  8. Scaffolding boards don't really plane up smooth.
My preference in planers is metabo, as I have their planer thicknesser, which I have no complaints about.
As for routers, I prefer makita. I have 3 makita routers, for different purposes and all work brilliantly. One is on its last legs , but will get replaced with another makita.
