Another vote for the astra... Small car like van, excellent to drive, but with a reasonable load area, about 1.8m long and 1m between the wheel arches and i think around a 500kg load rating. Gor for the 1.7cdti i only pay £120 a year tax, and still goes well enough to be a good safe, not sluggish, drive when its loaded with gear. Insurance is reasonable... I get around 45mpg and drive it flat out everywhere. Mines not missed a beat yet.

Hi, I have been lurking around here for a couple of days... Very interesting and entertaining site... I am looking at training up to become involved in tree work. I have no experience in this area but I am keen to learn. I recently left my job as a carpenter as a foolish leap of faith, and i need to get a move on deciding what my next step should be. Would anyone in the hampshire area be willing to give a young lad (19) a couple of days work to see what its all about before i get too involved...? I have my own transport and am flexible in working hours etc... Thanks Charlie...
