  1. I did the BSc on site from 2006 - 2010 (with a years placement) and i found the 1st year gave good background info on the industry, the second year gave more info about the trees and a bit more on the biology of trees. In the 3rd year there was a lot on their management and quite in-depth modules on their biology. The course has changed since i did the course but i think most of the modules are similar. As far as tutors go, the man has got to be Duncan 'the big D' Slater. what he doesn't know isnt worth knowing!
  2. I didnt have to use one in the end, i was told that i might need one because the trees were "very rotten", all they had were some mechanical wounds that weren't to bad.
  3. Any one know where I stand if I use a borer tool to take a core sample on a few trees that have a TPO on them so I can carry out a survey? Think I know the answer but I just wanted to get peoples opinions/views. Cheers
